Premier Counseling Center proudly provides Florida Board-approved clinical state supervision for interns working towards becoming a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, designed to meet state requirements while also helping you grow into an ethical and skilled mental health professional. Our supervision services will guide, support, and equip emerging professionals to build skills fundamental for becoming licensed counselors in the state of Florida.

Our state supervision will allow any LMHC intern to expand their skill set and become more competent as a professional and ethical mental health guide.

Florida LMHC State Supervision and Clinical Training

Premier Counseling Center provides state supervision for LMHC interns that meets all Florida licensure requirements, grounded in evidence-based ethical practices and real-world applications. You will receive training in areas such as documentation, treatment planning, and therapeutic modalities and specialty treatments, including but not limited to abuse, addiction, anxiety/depression, EMDR therapy, marriage and family counseling, and trauma or PTSD therapy. Premier Counseling Center has extensive training and experience utilizing numerous evidence-based modalities:

• Play Therapy, as a Play Therapist supervisor and Certified FirstPlay Therapy Practitioner
• Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), as a Certified EMDR Trauma Therapist and EMDR Approved Consultant
• Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
• Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
• Experiential Therapy

State supervision for LMHC interns can be tailored to your individual needs and specialized with the practice and modalities you intend to gain more experience in.

LMHC interns in our state supervision can expect:

• Qualified supervisors: Florida Board-approved with extensive experience in clinical settings over a variety of modalities.
• Flexible scheduling hours: Accommodating to your schedule, whether full-time, part-time, or in a practicum placement.
• Ethical, clinical, and professional focus: Cultural competence, evidence-based practices, professional boundaries, and ethical decision-making are fundamental to our practice.
• Case consultation and skill building: Gain experience with real clinical cases with the chance to ask questions, as well as collaborative problem-solving and support.
• Licensure preparation: Ongoing preparation for licensure, including examinations and navigating requirements for obtaining your license.
• Documentation support: Guidance on progress notes, treatment planning, and clinical documentation best practices.
